Peak Mermer

Recommended:
- good physical condition
- hiking boots required
- 2 possible routes (3 and 3,5 hours one way)
You choose the route. Depending on the conditions and your preparation, we can take you to a few more breathtaking places along the way.

Mermera is a rocky peak in the Central Rila, rising on a ridge that separates it from the Rila crest. At the eastern foot of the peak lies the Blue Lake - the largest in the Karaomerish circus. The ridge on which the peak rises is divided into two, and in newer maps, the northeastern peak is named Malak Mermer (Small Mermera). Between the two peaks there is a clearly expressed saddle, with the southwestern one being the considered peak. There are no tourist trails or markings to the Mermera peak, and due to the rocky terrain, the ascent is difficult and requires increased attention. The attached track and description for the ascent of the peak has a starting point of Kirilova Polyana. Thus, the described route is long and long-lasting, and it is recommended to be carried out in a long day and suitable weather conditions..
The hike to Mermera is moderate in difficulty and requires a good level of fitness.
