Yosifitsa is a massive peak in the Central Rila, rising in the Shishkovishki part of the mountain. It is located northeast of the central peak Kanarata, east of the Ribni Lakes circus and northwest of the Veneta peak. For the most part, the peak is predominantly rocky, but in the lower part and especially on its northern slope, there are often passages of dwarf pine. Its eastern slopes descend steeply to the valley of the Marinkovitsa River, and those from the west to the Ribni Lakes circus. The ascent is accompanied by movement through rocky and steep sections, where there are no paths and orientation is mainly based on the terrain. The hike to it is long and should be tailored to your physical fitness, as well as the length of the day.
